General Repair / Re: Entire 12V system not working
Last post by Richard Barlow -
most coaches have a set of switches just inside the door on the left wall for steps, basement locks, patio light, etc.  Somewhat separate from that on the same wall is possibly a spring loaded switch labeled Battery disconnect or Disconnect 12V.  It can be inadvertently hit by pets and humans.  Its purpose is to kill all battery power to the house during storage in order to minimize parasitic discharge.  Sounds like that's your problem here. Just press it and release.

I have a 2002 Magna. The battery disconnect is on the instrument panel near the ceiling above the windshield. I would hate to see the pet that could hit it. But humans are quite capable.

Chassis/Engine Repair / Re: HWH air compressor control wiring question
Last post by ctperformanceinc -
So all the HWH literature shows a pressure 85psi cutoff,  but I  have a 115psi one. So compressor  will run till that's reached +-.

I wired up the wire and now it will run with the key off.

So started at 5psi, ran engine to 110psi and during this time the aux comp also ran also. I turned off the engine at 110psi and the aux compressor ran till 117psi and then it stopped. Went out and Comp is hot and 20 amp fuse is blown again.

Trying to run past 100 psi just overheats the compressor and pops the fuse, that's what will eventually kill it.

These compressor are rated 100psi max! Should never be driven to 100psi IMO.

Also the motor really needs a 30amp fuse..TA-4101-DC has 28 amps full load.

So I'm going to find a 85psi N/C pressure switch and change it out.

General Repair / Entire 12V system not working
Last post by Cooper1951 -
I have a 2002 CC Magna. My entire 12V system is not working and I don't know why. No lights, no toilet flush, no tank readings, etc. Any ideas what fuse or breaker to look at? I  have tried to figure it out for 2 days.
Thanks,
Mike

General Repair / 1992 Affinity Overhead Panel Lights
Last post by jalonso -
I'm a new owner of a 1992 37ft Affinity in pristine shape and I couldn't be happier. While the unit came with a bunch of manuals (what a godsend), I am unable to figure out how to get the backlit labels to come on in the overhead panels.

I can get the backlit labels to work on the "chassis" side and there is a switch for it ... but I cannot figure out how to get the overhead ones to come on.

I have opened the panel and found the feed wire ... which if I apply power (12v) to it, they all light up... I just don't know what triggers is? Any help/advice would be great.

I am in the process of digitizing all my manuals and will post them when finished.

Thank you,
-John

General Repair / Window shades
Last post by BigBlu -
Any details on removing for repair the bathroom non-electric night window shade. There are 2 rollers in the valance and I see no way to get the cover off or the rollers out. Knowing the manufacturer would be a good start. No evidence of that either. And regarding the automated day & night shades in the rest of the coach... manufacturer? Directions for setting top and bottom stops? The manuals did not make it to us. Thanks for your time.

05/20/2020 Never mind. We found a logo on one of the shades and followed up. MCD out of McKinney, TX.
Quick call-back with all the details we require.
