Chassis/Engine Repair / Location of Engine Diagnostic Port
Last post by jedaz -
Hi - I am in the process of buying a 2007 CC Magna. It has the Cummins ISX engine. I will be taking it to a Cummins tech for an engine inspection - part of which I would think is connecting a diagnostic tool to the engine. Does anyone know where the diagnostic port is on this model CC/engine? Thanks.

General Repair / Re: Removing Kwikee steps for repair
Last post by gball -
Thanks for the input.  I cleaned them again and applied dry lube and it seems much better.  The steps initially started acting strangely going in and out in a dance routine but eventually resumed expected behavior.  I plan to upgrade the motor and controller since this is a model 42 and basically has no support anymore.

Thanks again for the input.
Glen.

General Repair / Re: HWH Hydraulic Slides Creeping In
Last post by Smitty -
Cam, this is usually caused by a leaking solenoid valve on the HWH Valve on top of the pump.  You can replace these 2 valve but it may be best to all 4 of them that control those 2 slides.  The from drivers side slide has a synchronizing cylinder that can also allow the slide to creep.  You can see this synchronizing cylinder by looking in the fuel tank inspection door on the passenger side and see if you see hydraulic oil coming out of one of them, there are 2 synchronizing cylinders in that compartment, 1 is for drivers side front slide and the other 1 is the passenger side front slide.  The rear slide is a single cylinder slide and and does not have a synchronizing cylinder.

Way cool input on what to look for!
Salute,
Smitty

Site Instructional Guides / passenger seat footrest gearbox and motor
Last post by pwm -
hi,

my passenger seat footrest motor/gearbox is not working.  I have removed it from the seat and am looking for help in finding replacement parts or if no longer available, what have others done to fix?  I have a 2000 country coach prevost conversion.  I am sure this has been discussed, but I can't figure out how to search the forum.

General Repair / HWH Hydraulic Slides Creeping In
Last post by CamDaddy -
2006 Magna Rembrandt-

When I'm parked for any length of time with my slides extended, my 2 driver's side slides creep in about an inch or so on their own. I went to my run bay and saw that there is a small amount of hydraulic fluid on the floor of the run bay directly underneath the hydraulic assembly. Obviously there is a leak somewhere, but does anyone know of a quick fix? The hydraulic lines all appear to be tight. Is this an indication of something that has failed or is something loose that I'm not seeing?

Thanks,
Cam

You can clean the entire assembly without removing them. Like Pfhays said, brake cleaner. If you really want to clean them, remove the metal plate on the underside and that will give you full access to all areas of the steps. You can also operate the pin switch from underneath and see where the noise or binding is occurring. Before crawling underneath, make sure you are in travel mode so the system won't adjust itself while you're underneath it.

General Repair / Re: Patio/Porch light

I replaced mine. At the time (I haven't looked lately), the LED version was only available through the Camping World website. They had an exclusive deal with the manufacturer. The manufacturer, Thin-Lite is still in business and might sell you one direct. My friend owns a Foretravel with a Thin-Lite porch light. He found useable LED guts on Amazon and was able to upgrade his without buying an all new LED system. Give it a shot.
