My leveling system has some kind of leak or other system failure. The system worked fine on 7-19-09 at our previous destination but yesterday when we pulled into our current site the system doesn't want to behave.
The electronic control panel seems to be OK (it responds to my button pushes) but the little air pump just runs continuously without leveling the coach. This would indicate an air leak or faulty sensor somewhere in the system.

How do we search and find an air leak in such a complex system?
Two years ago, while installing some other stuff, I rubbed a tiny hole in a plastic hose going to one of the HWH components in the service bay under the driver's seat. Later when we were on the road I noticed an unusual click in the lower dashboard area about every 15 seconds. I found that I had rubbed a hole in an air line with the chuck on my drill. But that one was easy to find because I knew I had been disturbing things in that area. This time is different.

Any suggestions? Thanks. Larry

I had an air leak which the folks at Creative coach found by just crawling under the coach and listening for it. They found the source within a few minutes and replaced a short hose, not sure where it was connected but they were able to find a hose at a local auto supply place which they used. The fix was so simple that they didn't charge any labor hours for the diagnostic work.

It was most likely a hose chafing on a frame member somewhere. If you do a search on that subject, you will fine some discussions on the subject in past posts. One that I found was originally discovered by Fred Kovel. When I looked at my coach it had the same problem of a hose from the governor chafing on the frame. I corrected it and a couple of others and have had no problems.

Thanks guys. I have been snooping around quite a bit without success (yet). It has been raining off and on for days and now we're truckin' from Maine to Indiana so I'll dig into it more when we settle again.

If all else fails, use a spray bottle filled with soapy water, or better yet the solution that kids use to blow bubbles...the leak will blow nice bubbles for you....
