My insurance is up for renewal and I have solicited quotes from several carriers. At the present, Geico is less than 40% of the premium quoted by Progressive, who I presently use. My premium has been about $1100+/- per year and Geico has come in slightly below $400. This is for a 40' 2003 Intrigue with 2 slides. The only real difference in the coverage is Geico uses split limits of liability and my Progressive policy has a combined limit of liability. Does anyone have any experience with Geico? This almost sounds too good to be true. We reside in Georgia and are not full timers. We do have an an umbrella liability policy so the liability issue I do not think would come into play.

I found that when I went with Geico it started low and within a year it was already going above what I was paying before with State Farm.

We switched to Geico last November and saved about 40%. Unfortunately we have had the experience of filing a claim with them and they were wonderful. I don't know what might happen when renewal time comes around but we were completely happy throughout the claims process. We kissed mirrors with a dump truck on the bridge crossing the Mississippi on US 60 just south of Cairo, IL on June 18th- extremely narrow bridge with no shoulder. The mirror was destroyed, the driver's side window was shattered, the windshield was popped in the left corner, and the glass shards from the broken window caused paint damage all the way down the driver's side of the coach. The repairs took a month, and the cost was almost $15,000. We had to spend eleven nights in a hotel, which was covered by Geico. As of last Tuesday we are back on the road again and very happy that we're not at the bottom of the Mississippi.
