Need ideas about how do you fasten sun screen to the tube or awning? We like our sun screen(used with 5th wheel) but do not have a slot for using with the Carefree Eclipse awning.

Personally, I would not do it. You will be adding weight to the awning, and also it would not be able to roll up automatically like it is supposed to.
Contact the manufacturer of the awning, and see what they tell you. I am quite sure you would void any warranty on the awning.

We have the Carefree eclipse awning on our 2008 Allure, we purchased the sun screen from the Carefree people while at the FMCA rally in Perry GA.
They told us that it was OK to roll it up with the awning, but the instructions state that you must not travel with it rolled up with the main awning, so maybe it's ok to roll up but not to travel.
When we use it, we turn the auto retract switch to off and peg the screen to the ground using bungees.
On our Eclipse awning there is a slot that runs the length of the tube but it's on the under side, to access the slot from either end you need to unclip the rubber o ring that is stretched over the lugs of the circular clamp, then use your remote to slighty retract the awning and press stop when the slot is in a good position to slide in the sun screen.
After sliding in the screen, extend the awning back out to max and be sure to TURN OFF AUTO RETRACT.

Peter, thanks a bunch for the information, that sounds like it would be the perfect way to attach the screen, I would like to know how long,(from the awning to the ground) your screen is, I have seen some of the short ones but wanted one about 8' long so as to reach closer to the ground. Would also like the info to order the screen if you have it... Thanks Marvin
