This is the message I received when I asked for help from CC as my husband is ill and can not help me.
I am sorry to report that Country Coach does not have a document, which I can share with you, which details the step-by-step procedure on changing out the bay door latches. My providing the instructions either via a phone conversation or my writing them is beyond the scope of our Technical Services Dept. The demands required to help as many owners as possible, with priority given to those with the most urgent circumstances does not allow us the time necessary to guide a step-by-step procedure.
I would recommend you seek the assistance of a trained RV repair-person, or facility.

Who are you?
Where are you?
If you're anywhere near Coldwell Idaho I'll be glad to try to give you a hand.

Ilene reports the following to the moderator:
We are in Fallon, Nevada and the coach is a 2004 Sienna Inspire #51071. I was asking CC for directions on changing the latches on our coach. I can do a lot of things my self with directions, as I am good at that sort of thing. I have already ordered the latches. Ilene
Can anyone assist her? i_rf2173 at yahoo.com

A little too far for us to go, should we post this request on some of the other RV forums? There must be a good guy somewhere around Fallon.
If they're north bound through SW Idaho or central Oregon I'll sure try to give them a hand.

Herb,
I am not sure about the Inspire latches, but I have changed out a couple of them on our 2003 Allure 1st Avenue.
The procedure should be pretty similar. First remove all the rivets on the inner door panel by drilling them out. The panel is also held in place with double sided tape. This can separated by running a thin knife blade under the panel. After the panel is removed there are just 2 screws which hold the latch in place. Remove the screws, remove the latch, replace the latch, replaced the screws. Next put the inner panel back in place and pop rivet in all previous rivet locations. Total time about 30-45 minutes. Faster as you do more!
Hope this helps.

The lady with the problem will read this. On my previous 2002 Allure, I took a different approach to repair a hatch latch.
Drill two 1/2 inch holes through the inner door panel to access the two latch mounting screws. Remove screws and left off handle. After the new latch is remounted, you can optionally use aluminum tape or hole plugs to cover the two holes. I thought this would be a lot easier than drilling out all the rivets.
Don't know what type of latches are on their 2004 Inspire.

I wish we had read this earlier. We live in Fallon, Nevada and would be glad to help. Problem, we are now in Charleston, Oregon for a two week stay. I would suggest you check with some of the RV dealers in SW Reno. None are CC dealers, but they may be able to help. Also, there is an RV repair business on McLean Road. That would be a possiblity for assistance.
