My ice maker is leaking or overflowing, water is getting in the ice cube tray and freezing the cubes into a solid block of ice. Eventually the entire compartment is a solid block of ice. Help is appreciated.

Hi Wayne,

Sounds like you water valve to the icemaker is stuck open. Go to the rear outside panel of the frige, find the water valve to the icemaker, and turn it off.

When my water valve started to fail I had the same thing. It would not shut off completely when the tray filled. I went to an appliance parts store and got a compatible valve. Problem fixed. ddtuttle
