Title: Back up Alarm Gizmo Location

Can someone direct me to a likely mounting spot for a back up alarm on a DP?

Mine suddenly stopped working.

I have scanned the engine compartment and the backup light wiring but do not find the Gizmo.

Any ideas from the group?

Dean,

Why do you want your coach to sound like a trash truck backing up?

I think a DP makes enough noise by itself.

Don,

Perhaps since I spent 25 years managing those "Trash Trucks", I like the Sound of Safety.
It was difficult to visit the parents of a young child who was hurt or worse because the child was unaware of a backing truck and ran or rode into a danger zone.
I would not like to repeat that experience in a campground where the exposure is even greater because there are many more young folks running about. An annoying bell, buzzer, or horn might aid in preventing the experience.

New years resolution #2 and this might be a better one then the first .
Back up only when you have a real live person watching your rear. That person now knows from buzzer sound that you are in reverse.
Rich, congrads on your electric problem. Starting the new year off right. Going through my spare parts, I have a blower motor (NIB). which might help someone if needed.

Thanks Al. With SCI Fridgette belly up that motor might be worth a lot one of these days...

Location is passenger side of engine compartment, between the bumper and air filter frame. Picture attached.

Ok, now how did you add the picture to the posting?
That would be a useful feature on this forum but the help section does not help me.

Dean,

I receive forum posts as e-mail. I simply use the 'reply' function in Mozilla Thunderbird and the 'attach' function for the jpg file, and send choosing HTML mode if I have an attachment.. (I also try to remember to delete the s at the bottom of the received message before re-posting.)
