When I start my 05 Allure and it's cold, the engine lopes mildly. After driven and warm, it idles normally. Not a big deal I suppose, but I have never heard a diesel lope before. Anybody else experience this?

Yup, our Cat C9 does it too and always has. Goes away after warmup. I wonder if pollution controls have anything to do with it?
One of the manu Cat software updates was supposed to address the loping idle when cold but it never really went completely away and we have the latest software package available according to Cat dealers.

Not sure what you mean by 'loping' but we might have had the same thing. We have an '05 Inspire and soon after we got it it would idle very rough in the morning, would not go even though you pushed on the throttle. After many tries to get it figured out they put in new injectors....problem solved.

Our 425 ISL loped badly when cold. NW CUmmins reflashed the ECM with an update and lope went away. C9 Cats have had numerous ECM updates.

Interesting that a reflash (hopefully) might solve my problem. I have to take the coach in for something else so I'll add that as well. Thanks folks.
