Just to confirm, Tom is right. Messages posted since 3/2009 have not been indexed into the Yahoo search engine. Search still works for older topics. I, too, have reported it to Yahoo many months ago - it is a problem across multiple forums. They don't seem too eager to produce a fix quickly.
I have kept almost all "Daily Digests" since 2001 -- all 4433 of them since digest 233 (Dec 2001)! They total 320 MB. I will explore storing them on a server and doing a local full text index
