Just received renewal notice from Progressive. Cost increased to $2496 from $2180 last year. This is for a 2005 Allure 470

Would appreciate info on other companies to compare costs.

Thank you for your help

National Interstate is $1,432 for $235,000 valuation on 2003 CC Magna #6236. Call Explorer RV Insurance in Ohio.

Hope it helps.

Peter, there are so many variables that contribute to the cost of insurance that it's impossible to make you/me comparisons. A fruitless effort, though your numbers do sound high.
My best recommendation is to find an insurer that will refund you for the times your rig is off the road, in storage, and not exposed to on-road collision, bodily injury, etc. (obviously this wouldn't apply to full timers). I have that kind of insurance and it saves me almost $100/mo when I'm at home.
Progressive, my former insurer, said they took that into consideration when setting annual rates. BS!

So Lee, who is your current insurance carrier?

Hi Jim. GMAC Insurance contacted me because I had a Good Sam membership. I'm guessing you'd have to belong to Good Sam as my policy says 'Good Sam Vehicle Insurance Plan.' Call 800-325-1190.
You have to pay the full annual bill. When you are at home and the rig is off the road you call, give then the dates, and you get the rebate. I've done this twice in the first year (covering 6 months in all) with no hassle.

I get a pretty good rate from Geico. I have a 1998 Intrigue and 2 cars that are costing me around $1400 a year

My insurance agent is Andrea Nelson from Thum Insurance Agency. Andrea is by far the BEST insurance agent I have ever had in over 40 years. She is an "independent agent" who has access to many insurance companies. She always helps me in so many unexpected ways. She has also helped many of my friends get the right coach insurance expressly designed to meet their needs and save them money at the same time. I'm sure you will find Andrea a real professional and a person who will help you find the exact insurance that will perfectly suit your needs. Having great insurance is just the first step... having a great agent AND great insurance is the ultimate!
Andrea Nelson can be reached at 1-800-968-8486 or andrea@... (andrea@...)

You might want to give State Farm a call.

You might check www.countrycoachclub.com and select button for insurance quote from CCI preferred provider licensed in 49 state. They represent ALL the major carriers. You might just save some $$$. Good luck!

Good advice, Mikee. I'm in Texas, not too far from Pete and pay $832.00 per year with State Farm.
