Does anybody have the CC approved maintenance facility list? We are in Montana (I-90 80 miles west of Butte) working our way home to Steamboat Springs, CO with an electrical problem ie: the coach and the shore power guard have just begun saying that we have reverse polarity in the shore cord. We were plugged into the 30 Amp side of the pedestal and all was well. The park owner came by and informed us that he would not put anybody on the 50 Amp side and that we could use it. When I unplugged from the 30 Amp, removed the adapter, and switched to the 50 Amp side the coach would not allow the power and sounded the aforementioned warning. The shore guard red light came on as well. We checked the pedestal and it is fine. We have used this pedestal numerous times over the years and it was working fine just minutes before. Thoughts are welcome and appreciated.
Thank you,

You went from one outlet in a pedestal to another one, and the new outlet has a problem (could be one of many). Why do think the new outlet has to be correct? What did you check, and what is the surge guard reporting?

Jack, just checked the CC website and the Database here and find no CC recommended places in MT. I'd call Coachnet and see who they would send you to. We've been happy with their help over the years.
No answer to your electrical problem though from us...to us "electricity is magic."

I had the occasion to get service done at Cummins in Billings when I was in Montana two years ago. You might give them a call and see if they can help you out.
They were great to work with and put me at the head of the line because we were on the road and were living in the coach. We stayed an extra night after service was complete and camped in their parking lot. At the time they had no hookups. If I remember correctly they were not designated a Coach Care facility.
Also I might add, not only were they great to work with, but they did an outstanding job.

REE,
The water leak is from the vale out side were you put the hose to the RV to get water from the campground. I am also a full timer and it took me some time to fine what it was. You can call CCI parts "Mike" in parts UPS me a new one change it out is easy and that all there ia to it.
My ELE. line were it pluge into the RV has a ben in it. in time the wire inside at the RV were bad. I took it off and fixed it. This is not easy to do. My Ele. line is the big yellow one 50 Amps. But it did the same thing.
Good luck and have a nice day. Capt. Dan Allura 2000 # 30498

It could be the electric elements for your water heater. I have two in my Huricane. Try turning those off and then see what happens.

Two suggestions would be to unplug and try the generator, to see if it blows one of the 30 amp breakers on the generator. If not, I'd guess you have problems from the transfer switch back to the electrical box. Other suggestion would be to make sure that you do not have a dead cell in one of your batteries, and the charger is going full blast trying to charge it. Turning off the inverter has no effect on the charging of the batteries. OK?
Hope this helps isolate it for you.

One thought that comes to mind is what shape is your power cord connector? If you checked the pedistal and it is good, try checking the power on the coach end of power cord. It could be the connector has gone bad internally. At any rate checking at the coach could be very informative.
