I wonder if the Lee's actually see what's on this forum? And if they do see what's on this forum do you think they take any notice? I personnaly doubt that they even bother but if they did read this formum and take any notice of us owners what would you suggest they do with future CC models? Assuming they are going to build new units!
I would be interested in buying the 'right' new model. But for me it would have to be top quality with top back up. They are the two most important things as far as I'm concerned. But to take it one step further I would rather a top quality unit 'without' all the bells and whistles. Have a long list of options but keep the base units simple, high quality models. The reality is that most folks don't want gimmicks. They just want a motorhome that they know is well built and will serve them for many years without the constant need for a dealer to fix something. I want axle ratings that have a big safety margin. I want steel frames that will last. I want solid timber and quality fabrics. I don't need 600hp. 4 slides. 4 Televisions. Electronic this and electronic that, etc etc etc etc.

I've talked to everyone at Oregon Motorcoach, and they know, I don't know how , but they know. I

agree with you on wanting an outstanding coach, that is well built, solid, having a long life, and not

necessarily over loaded with gadgets. But if you talk to dealers around the country, that went to shows

and didn't sell CC. They will tell you the reason was because people wanted the gadgets and the

coaches being built from 2000 thru 04 were behind the times. That's why all the changes were made in

05/06 to the line up. Of course quality control issues cropped up with too many changes to fast, to

much expansion, and trying to push the boundaries.
I would like to see two basic coaches. 430, 470, 480 (Allure), and 600 (Basically a 550), 630, 680,

Magnas with the 680 being the Affinity. One to be built in the Allure Inspire plant some day and the

other to be built in the Magna Affinity plant. Stick with two engines, two transmissions, slides, and as

you say a wide selection of options. Let's reintroduce 36, 38, single rear axle coaches. Lets put the

coaches on a diet. My 36' Allure weighed 25680 dry and 29950 going down the road. On the level at

60 mph I could get 10.5 with the old inefficient 3060 transmission. It cost me less than $500.00 in

repairs over 5 1/2 years. Maintance was 60 % of the current coach. Now I love my 42' 10" Intrigue and

wouldn't go back to 36'. Except for the Hydro hot, the Tag axle, and the heated floor the systems

throughout the coach are no more complicated than my 98 Allure. I went back to Zip Dee window and

Topper window awnings to keep things simple. And if A&E tries to stiff me on the door awning, it will

be replaced with another Zip Dee. The Main awning (A&E) is all right so far, but if it fails, I will replace it with two Girards the full length of the coach. If I really had to down size, I would look for a Diesel Trek with slide or go back to an Airstream TT for guick trips.

If the economy hadn't collapsed we probably would have bought a new coach this summer, but it

would have had to really be more functional and have a galley that could compete and surpass what we

have now. Nothing CC was building from 05 to 2010, did.

My two cents,

If I were in Bob Lee's place I would have two or three of my computer savvy employees monitor this site and other sites.

The instructions to them would be very clear. Monitor the sites, note anything that may have future value for our business and advise me at our regular staff meeting.

Do not, repeat, do not respond to any comment on the Internet.

This allows the boss to focus on what is really important yet still be in touch, and avoids any member of the staff getting involved with some of the squabbles that take place on the various forums.

There is a time and place for interaction with the customer and it has to be in a controlled situation.

This may sound draconian but when you are running a business and your money is at stake that is what it takes.
