Hey gang, here's a novel question for one and all.
We are supposed to leave for the Keys next Sunday. My barn is about four hundred feet from the street. PROBLEM...I drive across my lawn to get from one place to the other Not normally a problem but right now we have about 18" of snow to contend with.
SOOOOOOO, the question is: how do we remove the snow without removing the lawn?

I'd be more concerned with the ground the grass is on thawing out. One might get stuck in the mud.

Hi George,
What I did I found some one that did lawns and he had snow removal machine that cleaned my drive way.

George: I would run another vehicle in and out 10 0r 12 times to knock the snow down then drive over the snow covered lawn so no damage would be done to the lawn. Assuming of course it is fairly level. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111

I use a snow plow mounted to my tractor. Lots of practice this year... so far and more tonight

is your plow on the front& dose it have skid plates? if so you can set it up so you leave 1 or 2 inches on the ground. if the ground is level you should be good to go.if not I would wait til summer. Bob in not so warm Fl. but warmer than northern Indiana. 6028 Magna

It is a regular snow plow. Yes it has skid plates, but on dirt or grass they will dig in to the dirt when pushing snow because snow plows are designed to put slight down pressure on the blade, this pressure increases as the amount of snow builds up. You have to control it manually.
