Gang,
While we've been fantasizing on this website for each other, and Bob Lee (maybe); Monaco/Holiday Rambler has been surveying its customer base nationally about future coach designs.
Jeanne and I were asked, online today, to participate in a sizable survey by a national firm about our ideas for future RV designs. Why us? We owned a Monaco before coming over to Country Coach.
Even though we indicated an inclination to think about a Class C in our later years, they were only interested in Class A body styles.
That's an Ah ha.
There were lots of questions about engines, body size, etc. Nothing surprising there. It took a good 20-30 minutes to complete.
We were shown 5 graphic body designs to compare. They looked sorta like those Newell designs we see in the magazines.
One feature on the Monaco concept models was a total wrap-around one piece windshield that included the side driver/passenger window sections. Looked really impressive, and outrageously expensive if it broke.
What I came away with was: (1) Somewhat smaller; (2) Class A type bodies; (3) Smoother, cleaner, aero lines; (4) More vertical design flow: (5) More/bigger glass in the front; (6) Increased wrap-around feel; (7) Increased sculpturing of the rear end; (8) Aggressive grill look (like on the new Audi's).
Cheers,

I must be missing something, I would have told them I want a design that acts like a patio when open. Something like a Spanish veranda. I would want to set above the crowds so that I can see the sun set. Yes, and occasionally I would look down and and see the grass or make eye contact with a passer by, and I might even offer him or her a beer. (How many depends on where my wife was for the moment.)
Yes I hope I am asked to make my opinions know on the next gyrations of RV's. I got a lot to say, but gee who would make such a coach? I all most forgot, I would want a sliding glass door so that I may close same and still look out at the hordes as they travel by.
