Looking for other Country Coach owners who have had issues with rubber or glycol smells when their coach hydronic heaters or engines came up to operating temperature.
What you have done to remedy the situation if any and what you are planning to do in the future.
I have just found and joined this group and if I knew it existed 2 years ago, I would have done more for this issue.
It is possible that this issue among others contributed to CC's demise.

Jon, you don't say how old your coach is so I don't know if this helps. Our coach was built in Aug '01 with the hydronic heat. We used the coach for the first year and never used the heat. The next year we started using the heater and with a winters worth of heating the coach, the smell went away.

When the green hoses are new they are porous in a manner of speaking. They allow odors to pass and

have heard in some instances that signs of some sweat have appeared on the floors. What I have

observed is for the first year or so, you have to add a little fluid now and then to keep levels on the

marks. I have been told that on some new coaches CC replaced all the green hose when sealing floor

gaps and cracks didn't solve the odor problem. I had odors coming through where the Marine toilet

waste valve exit goes through the floor. When the coach reached the age of three smells and hose

issues were no longer an issue. When adding fluid to the system make sure the ratio between coolant

and water remains constant. If you allow the coolant % to rise to high the heating efficiency drops, and

your hot water temperatures will fluctuate causing for unhappy showers. If you get a chance go to an

FMCA rally and participate in a seminar by Aqua-hot.
