If your still looking for a torch and this is an confined spot you might look at the "mini torches" which are available at NAPA. There are different gas mixes which might be advantages in tight spots. Having a small flame but extremely hot.

One more "tip" that will help...

To keep the sensor "cool" and prevent it from expanding as you heat up the manifold, wrap the sensor with a strip of cloth that has been soaked in ice water...
