I have an on-again, off-again water leak on my galley slide on my Intrigue. It shows as moisture in the cabinet above the microwave/convection oven. I have sealed everything on the roof of that slide I can reach. It is weird, as sometimes it rains and no leak. Other times, there it is again.
The only place I have not sealed is the inner edge of the slide, as it is behind the gasket when the slide is out. I was wondering, is there a way to take off the wood strip at the top of the slide inside? Then I could examine the inside of the slide and see if there is an area there that needs sealant.

Al just one thought, these leaks came come from far away. My air speed indicator leaks and the water showed up on the insidge passerager window. I am probably way off base, but really look around. I hope this helps, it is a bitch to find these guys and I have one in my passenger slide also, I just keep trying.

Al,
My leak was very similar in my bedroom slide... inside cabinet along top of side panel. There is an L shape molding along the edge where the roof and the side panel meet. It seems that CC was not very good at putting enough sealant on this and many coaches develop a leak. Water seeped down the inside cabinet AND inside the wall itself. VERY BAD! Causes delamination of the wall.

Ok group, let me see if I can explain this properly. I noticed some rust on the ouside rail under the door where all the various water tanks are located. After looking under the coach I have noticed rust on the metal in the same area. I also have a continual wet spot on the bracket that holds the potable water in place. After removing the outside panels I discovered water between the gray tank and a fiberglass sheet that sepeates the gray water tank from the clear water. I have removed all the panels on the outside, all accessable panels on the inside looking for a leak. It looks like the Sahara desert. Only dust, no water or signs of water. I have filled my onboard tank up to the overflow stage which empties out on the oppasite side of the coach. Since than I have draain that tank and still have water. Any ideas? Also I am in AZ, so no rain in the last 2 months.

You may need to check where the drain pipes enter the gray tank as well as the vent pipes. These will be on top of the gray tank and usually have a rubber union hose clamp arrangement. you may need to look close since the connector may be laying on the tank but the connector may be broken.
Been there done that.

FWIW...pin hole, loose clamp on the pressure side ? run the water pump to pressurize those lines.
Are there water lines inside the coach above this location ? The lack of rain 2 months you say helps to eliminate traveling water.

Tom,
I can't locate your leak for you, but here is what I can tell you from experience with mine: do not assume that where you are finding water is the spot where the leak is originating: I had a minor mystery leak for a year or two in my water bay dripping out way over on the passengers side. As it turned out, the leak was coming from the water pump head on the complete opposite side of the coach. Also, there are numerous hose clamp connections in the water bay pressurized system that you should check. One thing you can do is to notice if, when on tank water alone (not hooked up to city water) is your water pump coming on periodically for brief periods. If so, you know you have a leak in the pressurized system. If not, it is somewhere else.

My mystery leak was from the sink drain where it passes under the refrigerator. I removed the two drawers from under the refrigerator and the flooring was wet which caused rust on the outside passenger slide. The black PVC pipe fitting connecting to the flexible drain hose was fractured.

Did this on engines for water in oil Oil Pan. Drain all water tanks, Wipe all water in Basement floor, Leave all covers off. Add food color to water tank like red. Fill like a quarter full. Take coach for a ride and return. Look for any colored water and source. If unable to find source add more water move rig again. Dont pressurize any tanks! Try this as it should help you. Our Allure had slight leaks on the brass petcock for tank drain valve shaft bushing and a twist of the nut stopped the leak also the same for the water pump brass petcocks Keep us posted I agree in Az. no rain Im in Yuma for the winter.
