We are going to visit our son who just moved to Studio City and we are looking for recommendations for RV Parks in the area.

Chuck,
I don't think there is anything in the immediate area. When we visit So. Calif. we stay at the Elks Lodge in Santa Clarita. $15.00 per night with water, TV, 30 AMP and dump station. Nothing fancy, but you do have to be an Elk, or a guest of an Elk.

Chuck,
I have stayed at the Canoga Park Eks, about 12 miles west of Studio City. Again, basic water & 30A power. Again, Elks membership or guest status requred.
BTW Elks membership is always a good idea for back-up campsites as they are usually located within the municipalities that you may want to visit, especially in the West. I have been using then for about 17 years. They vary in the amenities that they offer from the most basic boondocking in a parking area to some pretty elaborate campsites wth 50 amps, water and sewer. Annual dues vary around $100 to $120 depending on the Lodge you choose. If you are interested, check the Elks website.

Just renewed my membership_-----$81.00. Also my accountant says you can write off your Elks dues and fees for camping as charitable contributions.

Many of the Moose Lodges also have RV hookups for members and guests... Usually for less than $15 per nite... Nothing fancy, but a good place to stop for a nite or two...
