We bought a Magna 2003 on Jan. 31st. Have had a few problems but have been corected by the dealership. I noticed that there is a fan or motor running all of the time. I can't be heard from inside the coach, but can be heard outside on each side of the coach by the rear tires. I called Country Coach and they have no idea what it could be. Is there anyone out there with any ideas?

I think almost everyone in this group has a possible reason for this run-a-way fan. I also have a problem with my fan running at high speed most of the time. This causes my engine to run too cool. Does this happen to your engine? I think normal is around 195 and mine runs about 175. The problem is thought to be either the fan controller and/or the temp sensors.
Look back at the older posts to see MUCH discussion on high fan speeds, dust storms, etc. I hope that CC said that they didn't know what might be wrong because of something that is not in your message. Otherwise I would suggest that you call again.

It is probably the fan located in the inverter bay. Empty out your rear pass thru bay and remove the large cover on the rear side wall of the bay. There will be a thermostat connected to a fan to cool your inverter bay, that should be set at 90 degrees on the dial. Maybe someone "bumped" it when they were working on your coach, check it out and let us know.

Dick, my 03 Allure was doing the identical thing your coach is doing. The lower operating temp caused loss of fuel efficiency. CC replaced the controller and did some reprogramming at the FT. Meyers rally. Coming home the engine and tranny both operated at about 200 drgrees and fuel cons. was 10% improved.

I am glad that took care of it. I had a new 03-45' Lexa about three weeks ago that I sold, one of the inverters kept locking up. So I crawled under there and that same t-stat was cranked up to max temp, well past 100 degrees. I reset the inverter, called CC and was told to set it at 85 to 90 degrees. Did that and never had a problem again.
The buyer said he would only buy the Lexa if I personally took it out over a long weekend and used everything, so as soon as I hit the send button I am heading to Outdoor Resorts in Newport, OR. for the weekend. It will be nice to spend some time in a Lexa and really see how it performs, I will report back Monday with my results.
