Can someone explain what is going on. CC just posted news release on the company site with the news that National loss 15.5 million in 2002 after a loss of 21.4 million in 2001. Wonder why Bob Lee is back. Does he own any stock? High this year of $14.00.....now about $5.00. Most of problem seems to be National product tho release states CC had to deeply discount to get rid of "old" style Allures and Intrigues (ouch!)....to make way for First Avenues. Not just CC with bad news.....Fleetwood with big loss and tho I couldn't find latest info on Monaco, that stock was $30.00 in May....now about $9.00. Yet, industry predicts largest shipments of class A since '99. And biggest dealer in Florida claims to be setting record sales numbers in first quarter (Lazy Days). Appears it may be a duplicate of American auto industry....big sales but 0% financing or rebates took all profit. Anybody getting 0% on a coach?

Joe, Bob Lee, I believe, is National's largest stockholder, which probably explains why he decided to take "hands on" control once more. Re the deep discounts on the " old model " Allures and Intrigues, I bought one of those Allures and don't think I got a deep discount. Fortunately, I like the looks of my coach better than the First Avenue version, but was somewhat perturbed I was not told they were redesigning the coach in the same model year.

Walt,

I couldn't agree more. Although I didn't get a "Steal" Guaranty gave us a great trade in, and worked closely with Deutche to make the deal work. We were in a Winnebago we didn't like, and Guaranty really helped us. Later when I discovered the New Model, I was upset also, but then I remembered how everyone worked with us, and I am OK. I just wished I could have made the decision knowing there was a new model coming out.

Glad to hear other people are in the same boat I am. When we ordered our '02 in May of '01, nothing was said about a tag axle. I probably would have gone that route. I also don't like the new front end, it looks like a bug.

Just read the Monaco club magazine. Monaco already has the 2004 coaches for sale.
