We are in the process of heading east for fall color in the Portsmouth NH/ Portland Maine area. Was

wondering if any owners in the area or experienced travelers could recommend places to stay while we

are in the area. Have a 42' Classic Intrigue with three slides. Any recommendations would really be

appreciated. Thanks : TWI and CAROL 2004 Intrigue 11731

You are in for a great trip! We were visiting relatives one week ago at a gorgeous lake in northeast Vermont called Lake Willoughby. We stayed with our relatives, but we checked out this campground which is on the south end of Lake Willoughby. The biggest cit/town it is near is St. Johnsbury, Vt.

The website is: http://www.whitecapscampground.com (http://www.whitecapscampground.com)
It is across the road from the lake, but that looks to be no problem. There is a beach across the road, and kayaking if that's an interest is really a great sport to pursue on this lake. It's a glacial lake with very tall solid rock mountains (eastern mountains, not western) on either side of the lake near the south end of the lake, and it's very dramatic and beautiful. The campground looked to be just fine though nothing like we may be used to that are fancy. We can't wait to visit this lake again!

Red Apple RV Resort in KENNEBUNK, MAINE is a good spot. Three miles from the ocean.
Also try MABEL'S on Ocean Ave. in KENNEBUNKPORT for the best lobster in the area.
