Does anyone have a recommendation for a combo -wifi booster antenna usb network card that helps in weak settings to really bring in the park signal?
One that can put on an exterior mast would be great.. to clear the top of the coach...

I use a Wilson set up with the 12" trucker on a ground plane and you bring it in (hard wire) to the amplifier and then to the internal antennae which creates a hot spot for your computer and cell phone. I wanted something permanent but not higher than the A/C. It has worked good for us for a couple of years. The Wilson people are easy to work with and very knowledgeable. You do have to be careful in wiring because you need 20 ft of separation between the external and internal antennae.

Just to make sure that understand what you are asking, you are looking for a WiFi booster antenna that has an attached 802.1 Wireless USB Network Card that plugs into a USB port on your PC to boost RV Park WiFi signals when you are located out at the fringe of the parks coverage areas (usually about 300 ft if the park does not utilize repeater stations) Is that correct. Personally I know of no such device not that one doesn't exist out there somewhere. You could try to Google it but you will have to be careful of the terminology.
I bet you will get a lot of answers that believe you are looking to boost a cell signal from a wireless data provider like Verizon. I had to read it a couple of times to make sure.

Thanks for your response.. we, too, love our Wilson antenna / 3 watt booster system for the Verizon EVDO system... Rev A It works great.. but is a bit lacking in bandwidth for our work purposes.
Love to use the parks (sometimes free) system, rather than EVDO but find that the wifi antenna tied to our internal system gets 'jambed' by the steel structure of our coach.
We have seen CC Crane super wifi antenna booster.. that can be attached to a pole outside the coach, but have no real time experience with wifi to park boosters.

Russ, if your current wifi card has an external antenna jack, just adding an external antenna above the coach would probably fix your problem.
I just got this link from googling but the antennas at this site are what I am talking about. More dbi is better but results in a narrower beam that is harder to point.

I've used one for years before installing an Autonet router that uses the Verizon cell network for wifi anywhere.

The Rokland N3 adapter works very well for me. I just got it a few weeks ago and my reception in a campground has gone from 0 - 2 bars to a consistent 5 bars. The people at Rockland are very friendly on the phone and the software is easy to install and the cost was somewhere in the $45 range.

I asked myself the same question 5 years ago. After extensive research and much experimentation I now have the latest and greatest.
I started out building my own antennas and now I use an 18db panel antenna (purchased for $60) mounted on my Wineguard crank-up antenna (I was not using it anyway).
For the USB wifi adapter I use an ALFA 2000mw (most powerful available) - around $40. I have purchased about 20 adapters over the years and this is by far the best one out there.

The above link (store) can also sell you all the cables you need and USB extension Cables. For antennas I can tell you where to get those also.
I also use a USB extension "hub" cable 25' (about $15)(you can "chain" up to 5 of these) to connect my laptop to the USB adaptor which is located as close the antenna as possible but still inside the coach to protect it from the weather.
I can pull in wifi signal from over 10 miles away when there are no obstructions like trees or buildings. The wineguard crank-up antenna allows you to rotate the directional panel antenna to focus the signal to get max strength.

I also use a cell phone for internet data. I have a NOKIA Nuron smart phone which can be bought outright for less than $150 or free from t-mobile (radio shack) with 2yr contract. Here is the kicker - my data plan is only $10 per month for 3g data where available. For me t-mobile has good coverage and roaming all the places I go every year for the last 8 years. Washington to California to Texas, Mississippi, Florida and back.

The NOKIA phone I mentioned allows you to very easily tether it to your laptop (using Nokia software - free) to get the full internet on your computer. You can tether with bluetooth or the USB cable that comes with the phone. I personally use the bluetooth for tethering so I can position the phone for best signal. My favorite bluetooth adaptor is available off of EBAY for less than $3 including shipping from HongKong.

I wouldn't be surprised that each length and layout of 05 Intrigue may be different.
