Sunday afternoon the weather was good, so I thought I`d get around to replacing the heated water line to the ice maker on my Dometic 1272.I was warned that I would have to loosen the frig and pull it forward in order gain access to the back of the ice maker. Well, I have loosened ev erything that I could find, but I just can`t get it to move forward. Has anyone done this?Any suggestions? Jim 02 intrigue #11436

On my Dometic NDR 1292, in addition to the four screws inside (top and bottom), there were also two screws on the outside, accessible through the vent panel. There was one on each side (forward and aft going) through the sheet metal frame attachment to the wood floor. One was near the smoke stack (the aft one) and the other one was on the forward end near the icemaker solenoid area.

Been ofline. So you are changing the Ice maker heated line behind the refer. I have had to do this three times. The last time I split the case holding the heater and removed the old plastic tube. then replaced with 1/4" cooper tubing. heater and casing will slip right over cooper tubing. wrap with black tape. The plastic tubing lasted approximately 3 yrs. The cooper is still doing good at5 or 6 yrs.
Hope I'm not to late to give you a heads up.
