Hi Everyone,

Wondered if anyone could give us some advice.

We ordered MCD Innovations (Day/Nite Shades) at Davis Cabinets in Junction City, the 3rd week of July and were surprised by a few things.

We do admit that we dropped by unscheduled for measurements, but when we had called the week before it did not sound like an appointment for measurement was that necessary.

Our surprises:

#1 A quote by Shaun Davis was not communicated to the front desk and verbal quote at the front desk was 150% higher.. we had to request that the original quote be authenticated.

#2 We did not get a receipt for the itemized amount.. just a hand scribbled worksheet. (Our question was: Is this how it is done in Oregon?) Handshake work orders are fine.. Especially when there is a positive reputation such as that of Davis Cabinets. But still, we felt like it was a bit loosey goosey.
#3 We were quoted the install in 3 weeks, which would have been last week, but got a call saying they wanted to wait until the first week of Sept. We were also told, we would need to park in their back lot for maybe 2-3 days to make time for the install..appears a bit excessive we thought .. for what should take maybe a 4-5 hrs max.
Our 2 Golden Retrievers walking in the dirt and mud did not look like an exciting prospect.

#4 when we said we wanted to push the time up a bit, we were told: we will call you back... hmmm... no call back as of yet.!?! 2 weeks later??

Are we right to be losing confidence?

Thanks,

Russ and Jean

Shaun's a good guy. Request a meeting with him personally and express your concerns. I'm confident he'll take care if things.

It all sounds very unprofessional to me. Thanks for the warning.

Five working days, is that just to install or is that to measure, manufacture and install?

Hi This is Derrel and Kathe Letulle....we are also waiting for our MCD shades from Davis....
MCD has moved facilities in McKinney during the last month....being shut down for over a week for the move....therefore delaying all shipments....
Kathe have been in contact with Davis Cabinets almost on a weekly basis to ensure that we are all on the same time-line...If you take the time to communicate, your efforts will be rewarded.
We have been customers of David Cabinets for over six years and have always been satisified with all results.....If you wish a detailed receipt, just request one from Mary and she will be on target to ensure you receive your request.
Kathe maintains a time line on all our travels as well as motor home repair and upgrade schedules.
Chaun Davis and the front desk personnel (Tiffany) have been very accomidating when we had to change our schedule due to other upgrade vendors delayed work schedule. Not all businesses are perfect, but if you request you will receive.

Good luck in your delima - we do not have one.
