Noticed over the weekend that my temp gauge was very erratic. It would start off at about 130-140 range and then after some driving it would reach normal temp @180-190 and then a few minutes later it would go between 220-240. Then it would jump back to 180 and then up to over 220. The light in the gauge would never come on when te gauge reached 220+ as it did just after we bought the coach and we discovered that the thermostat had been dropped during installation and would not would properly. Anyone else have this problem with the temp guge jumping all over the place?

Sounds like a bad connection, loose wire, on the gauge or sender.

Had a similar problem with our fuel gage. Turned out to be a defect somewhere in the connecting wire. Much easier to run a new wire than to try to find the defect in the old wire. RUSS WARREN '95 INTRIGUE 10070

I had a gauge problem several years ago, turned out to be the meter. My max temp on the gauge was like 220 (I think). When operating at the proper temperature the needle was way over to the right, I like normal readings to be close to the center. Got a new gauge with a max temperature of 280 along with a sender. Got it from

in Phoenix, a lot less money than CC at the time. If you replace it yourself, make sure you change the correct sensor, my coach has 2 sensors very close together.
