My 2000 Allure 32' has a winch in the right side bay area that is for retrieving the slide should the hydraulics fail. I can not figure out where you would connect the hook and the owners manual gives no clue. Anyone have the answer?

Thanks,

Ken, 2000 Allure 32 #30539

Ken,

I've never used mine and the coach isn't here to look at.
If you take your time and look at it I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out.
I've looked at mine before and kind of remember and "4x6" panel in the frame you can remove and reach through with the hook to put on the slide. Be sure after wenching it in you take the wench off. Also there might be a bypass valve on the hydraulics somewhere you need to open if it doesn't come in with ease.

Ken,

you might look at you HWH owners manual as it seems it would be in there since it is a HWH component there for it probably won't be in the CC manual. Also you can get on HWH website and maybe you could find something there.

Ken, on mine there is a huge eye hook on the wall under the sink. Then, believe it or not, it attaches to the steel support for the dining room table which has a hole in it for this purpose. Thank God never had to use it! Maybe yours is kind of the same.

Hi Ken, Go to the Files Section and download "Emergency Slide Retraction.doc" It is for a 2003 Intrigue, but I think it is basically the same for all.

Not so? My understanding is that starting with 01 models the slides changed.
