I have 275 70R 22.5 tires on 1998 country coach Intrige. I want to replace with 295 80R 22.5. What performance difference do you see?

WAY BACK IN 1999 and 2000 when I was getting telegrams not to move the coach or call the factory

about tires it became clear something had to be done. So I called Doug Rutherford and VP Wasenberger

at CC and we had long talks. A 11r would bottom out and a 295 would scrape making hard turns, they

were just to big. The solution was the 275R80. It only affected the speedometer by 5 mph, gave a

much smoother ride and allowed me to lower my tire pressure 10 lbs. My front wheels were only rated

for 120# originally and CC wanted 125 lbs up front. They, CC, changed my ride height valve locations

from two in front and one in back by swapping. This changed the imbalance on the front left tire from

1200 lbs down to about 900 from the right. Plus the left front wasn't having to handle the weight from

dynamic changes from side to side, the duals were after the change. The ride was much improved

Rpm's dropped, fuel milage increased. I had one of the last 98's built so had an ISC engine and by

programming the processor the milage and odometer could be corrected somehow. It was like getting a

new coach. When I had the injection pump replaced and a new "program" installed my milage went up

even more. According to Les Schwab the tire issues were' 't Toyo's fault.
Everyone using that size of

tire, being it Michelin Goodyear, etc were having tire failures.
It amazes me today however that my 2004 42' which weighs 9,000 lbs more gets a little better milage

over the long haul and can outperform the the Allure on a 6% grade. The ISL and 3000 Allison w/12r

tires just work better than the ISC/ 3060 Allison and 275R80's at 65 mph.
