I have a 1999 intrigue 36 ft with a 350HP isc cummins.
The exaust manifold had a crack all the way across.
The coach has 40,000 mile.

Has any one had this problem, if so did you fine what caused it to crack.

Bobby: I had a similar failure on my 99 Intrigue with Cummins 350. The manifold and labor were covered under Cummins 5 year warranty. They had no explanation for the failure. In my case, I was in San Diego where I had access to a Cummins factory store, not a dealer. In either case, I am sure they will cover it. At the time of my service, I had 39k on the odometer. The exaust blew out and melted the dipstick tube (plastic). I had to buy one from CC and Cummings charged me to install it. I thought that was cheap of them, but they held firm. The tube could be changed in five minutes with the use of a screwdriver, but none-the-less, they charged me a minimum $75.00 labor rate. Had I known in advance I would have changed it in their yard myself. Oh well. Happy motoring!

Dave

As to the cracked manifold, I didn't realize it was broken. I had a reoccuring power steering leak and when I started to see oil on the back of the coach, I took the engine cover off to check it out. The manifold had broken and had melted the dip stick sleve, allowing oil to come out of the sleeve. When I saw the cause, I called Cummins and confirmed the warranty work, then ordered the dip stick from CC. Once I had the CC part, I took the coach to Cummins and had the work done. By the way, I see that you tow an Odyssey. Is the transmission the same as the Accord? I'm looking to tow an 03 Accord if they are approved.

We have a '99 magna with the isc 350 engine - it too had a cracked manafold which was replaced under warranty -- no idea what caused it.
