Since many folks are getting ready to "fly" south, we are planning our first trip to Yuma. I have been researching parks seems like there are lots to choose from...we are fairly picky like it clean and quiet, sounds like many are by the interstate(not for us too loud) I found one called Hidden Shores Village that sounds good, but am open the any suggestions the group may have, looking at mid Nov to get there.

Yuma has a lot of old RV parks full of lots of old park models. Here is a good site that may help you with your decision. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ (http://www.rvparkreviews.com/) The Palms RV Resort has some of the best ratings. We have not stayed there but did attend an Oak Ridge Boys concert there last winter. Looks pretty nice.

Stayed 5 weeks at the Palms and it is very very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. Very upscale with great facilities. I would go back if I were to stay in Yuma again.

If you are looking for peace and quite, you might also consider some of the private lots owned by individuals who rent out a space on their lot or rent the entire lot out for the winter. There are many in the "foothills" and those are very nice, many with small casitas.

Valuable advice from Ray. I own a lot in the Yuma Foothills (sorry, I don't lease it) which I much prefer over an RV park.
The typical rental lot in Foothills has two RV hook-ups and the owners rent out both sides. A couple of years ago they were renting for an average of $350 a month which, I understand, included all hook-ups. I know there are several members on this forum who rent, so perhaps they could update those numbers.
But it really depends on what your desires. If you want a swimming pool, club house, scheduled activities, etc., an RV park is your best bet.
If you are looking for space, only one neighbor and, as Ray says, "peace and quiet", look at a lot.

I have an RV space for rent. Its located in the foothills of Yuma at 13503 E. 51st Lane. It is currently occupied, but will be available by Nov. 1st. $250 month plus elect. @ .15 per KWH.
I furnish water and sewer.

Nice private lot with a mountain view and in a quiet neighborhood. Go to Craigs list to see my ad. You can also google for a picture.
