I have suspension problems. the left rear tire is banging the outside of the tire on bumps. the tire is going to have to be replaced but I'm looking for the best place to take her in and have the whole underneath inspected.

thanks,

Just noticed this post and since its Monday now perhaps you have already contacted Birdland. I had a ride height problem corrected there and they do know what they are doing. Not an inexpensive place. They mostly work on the very spendy coaches now and last Jan were booked till March, all work scheduled. However, they did fit me in when I showed up with no appointment and did the most important work I needed to get on the road.
As an aside... somewhere between one of the Wal Marts and their shop you may find my country coach fancy mudflap. Roads are terrible! and with ride height problems it was a very freaky ride!

Good Luck,
Terry

I'm in Clear Lake which is SE of Houston and Birdland is NW. I was hoping to find someone closer ( and cheaper) to me. we're kind of freaked out by the tire damage and don't want to go clear across town with this problem. Has anyone ever used Sierra Trailways in South Houston? I really didn't think an air suspension problem would allow the tire to hit the frame and I'm wondering if someone replaced an airspring without the internal bumper.

Paul,

Try Fishers Diesel Service in Pasadena. They are much closer to you than Birdland. I live in the Clear Lake area and have used both Fishers & Birdland. Fishers is probably better equipped to handle suspension issues. In fact, Birdland recommends them for alignments.I hope this helps

Paul,

I don't know what type air suspension you have but I can tell you that when my ride height valve went, it dropped the frame against the rear tire. Maybe your suspension is different than mine. And, there is an override procedure where you can pump up the air bags so that the frame is making contact with the tire on my coach. Not sure yours will allow you to do that. Do you have HWH?

Definite no go place is Bob Jones RV. They had my coach from 5 July to 21 October to do what they called "a full 2 weeks of work" but did not get it all done. Insurance company paid for work never done, parts not installed, not even purchased.
