Looking for rv park recommendations in the Atlanta, GA. and Charlotte, NC. areas. Not finding much through usual places. Looking for a week in each location. Parks can we located outside metro areas, but would like to be within 20 to 30 miles or so.

Thanks,

Jock I suggest you call Lowes Motor Speedway They have a large RV park adjacent to the track in Concord which is on the NE side of Charlotte. They are very pricey when there is an event on , but I am sure very reasonable when there is NO event on. It is right across the road from the Tom Johnson Camping centre , who sell and service coaches. I don't have the number , but if you can't find them , call Tom Johson's and I am sure they can help you . I would guess they are less than 20 miles from downtown Charlotte

Jock, take a look at the McKinney COE campground northwest of Atlanta. It is at about your distance limit but is a VERY nice campground.

Jock, we've stayed at the Fort Mill KOA just south of Charlotte. It is clean, well appointed and away from traffic, but like most KOA's, a bit pricey. There are not many campgrounds around Charlotte.

There is a City or County Park at Rock Hill, SC, You can find it on the Web search, I have not stayed there but a lot of my friends have and they were happy. Don't know if that is too far from Charlotte for you...I don't remember much around Charlotte so I can't recommend anything there..
