The six way power seat base on our older Allure has gotten more and more loose in the forward/reverse mechanism to the point where it is downright disconcerting if not dangerous as the seat bumps forward an inch when you step on the brakes.
I finally pulled it out and determined that the fixed screw blocks in which the worm drive pulls and pushes the top track are bad. Everything else on the mechanism is fine. We studied this thing extensively and could find no way to dismantle it.
There is no indication who made the six way power base, the drive motors are Rockwell. I'm resigned to buying another one but haven't a clue who made it or where to find a replacement.
Thanks.

Only can buy a complete replacement. Had problems on our 97 Magna driver seat and the OEM base is long dead. The new base is much much better. Smoother in operations. Easy change out.

Contact these folks. Have the base hole measurements when you call. Sure there are other place in the US that also sells the base. Just got ours from Countryside.

Found out that the original seat and power unit came from Kustom Fit in California. In contact with them now. Depending on how that goes, I may try these folks as well. Thanks for the lead.
I'm assuming they would need both the hole spacing of the pedestal and the hole spacing of the chair, since they are not the same.
What did you pay for the new power base?

They are not cheap. $400. It was the same price in both places in Oregon that sold them. Any place that deals in RV furniture should have them. Yes with measurements. They are heavy so shipping will add up. We could drive to Countryside.

I happen to have a Kustom Fit seat, 6-way, powered. It was removed from my '05 Inspire when I imported the coach into Canada. These Kustom Fit seats were not acceptable to the Canadian Dept. of Transport so they were replaced with Villa seats.
I don't really need it so if it could help, let me know.
Transport could be a problem since it is in BC on the west coast of Canada but, we will be traveling back to south west US in a few months.

Richard,
I have a 2004 intrigue and both of my Kustom Fit Seats are not in good shape. I live down in Seattle and would be interested in your seats if you would like to sell them?
