2002 Magna, 2 slides, 40'
I'm a new owner of Magna and 1st Hurricane (I have had a Webasto on a Prevost). System comes on, no error codes, all 3 blowers appear to be working, etc. However, while the air outflow is warm, it does not seem to be very hot? Is there something that reduces the efficiency, filters, etc? - Thanks

How about the thermostat? Barrie Boas 94 Concept5111

Not sure what thermostat your referring to? I use the main (same one used to turn on A/C's) thermo to turn it on. Is there another one I should check?

Failing circulator pumps and/or low antifreeze fluid come to mind? ALso cleaning the nozzle may help.

Could be a bad coolant pump or low coolant.

Is checking coolant level in engine enough or do I check the Hurricane unit itself?

My Hurricane has a seperate cooling system with a tank located inside the Hurricane unit and a overflow tank in the same bay. So you would have to check these tanks if you have this type of system. If yours uses the engine coolant, that's a lot of coolant to warm up when the engine is cold, so it might take a while before you get adequate heat.

If this link works, it shows a picture of all the components on the CO45XL Hurcane unit (like mine). The coolant expansion tank is located in the top left of both diagrams. This is taken from the files section on this site.

Yes, I have 3 A/C's with thermostats and separate thermostat for my Webasto. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111

I think your system must be set up like Prevost. CC has a combined thermostat for the AC & furnace - typical of most motorhome. Wish I had the Webasto - it was a pretty unit. - thanks

I discovered the outflow line on Hurricane unit is not getting hot, but I can hear the pumps running (sounds ok) and the exhaust is really hot. I can seen burner firing through the looking glass @ end. -

Mine has a pump insisw the Hurricane that I had to replace once because I had no hot water. I think this pump is needed to send hot coolant to the other pump up front for the furnace heat? That pump inside the Hurricane unit may be running, but not pumping to spec.
