Sometime within the last 3-4 years, someone posted that they had removed and disassembled/cleaned/re-assembled their fogged dual-pane windows themself. I had saved a copy of the posting (since I didn't have any fogging at the time) but a retirement and a computer crash wiped out much of my 'stock' of saved data. I have been searching for several days now on the forum but have not been able to hit the right combination of search criteria to get to the original post. If the original poster is still active, or if someone knows the post I am remembering, could you provide the information? I have much more time on my hands now than I do cash so I would like to try 'de-fogging' one of my smaller windows and see how 'bad' it is to do.

Regards,

John and Linda

Hi John,

FYI There is a place called Suncoast Designers in Hudson, Fl--727-868-2777 that reworks fogged windows. They remove the windows, separate the panes, clean and thoroughly wash each pane with a power wash machine, put on a new seal, and heat press and bond the two panes back together. Some folks have removed their fogged window and shipped it to them.

I can't find the post but I believe that the poster was John Kelly.
