Hi,
My wife and I have purchased a used 1998 Country Coach Allure Cascadia.
We are new to the RV world and are in need of some help and information. The unit is in great shape, but is in need of some repair. I have learned that "in need of some repair" is a given in this environment...
What I am currently looking for is more information on the coach itself. I have read most of the documentation a couple of times, but there are some gaps.
I am currently learning how everything is supposed to work. There seem to be some electrical issues as not everything is turning on while the engine is running.
There are six rocker switches next to the Allison transmission controls. 5 are green and 1 is red. the red switch has a battery symbol on it. when i push it, some of the lighting inside comes on.
the other 5, I think are the headlights(top left), jake bake(top right) fog lamps(bottom left, doesn't work). The two buttons in the top and bottom center are the mystery buttons. They have pics of lights, but what do they control? When should they turn on? photo of the switches upon request. could not figure out how to attach them to this mail. may post them in photo section.
Any help would be appreciated. Finding a resource to get more documentation would also be good.
Thanks in advance

On my 02 Intrigue the switches are: top right - Jake brake - front down = max (6 cyl), back down = min (3 cyl). Neutral = off. Jake brake goes on when foot off throttle. Goes off automatically at about 5 mph. top middle = engine idle control - front down = increase, back = decrease top left - running (parking)lights/ headlights back left = fog lights (only work if headlights are low beam or off) back middle side flood light (front down = lt side, back = right). Maybe just the other way around.
back right - battery boost. Connects coach and house batteries to aid starting if coach battery is low. Spring loaded (normal = "off). Operated by holding down for maybe 30 sec and release then try starting again. Not supposed to be held down while cranking engine. Best read manual to be sure on how to use it.
Your controls may not be identical but I doubt it.

I also own a 98 Allure #30223. I bought mine three years ago and love it. The red battery switch is for emergency use of chassis batteries for starting when the starting battery is dead. The center bottom is for what I call the docking light, IE the light above the door. The other one I think is a momentary on off light control for signaling purposes. If you want just to chat or have other questions give me a call (805-497-1063) or via email.
