I have a 2005 Inspire and also have a bouncing front end. In addition to that I noticed that when I would hit a bump in the road I could hear metal on metal. After further inspection I noticed 4 "J" bolts about 6"long under the front supension. These bolts had threads on them but there were no nuts or washers holding them in place. These bolts are 5/8". Has anyone else had that problem. I am assuming I need to put nuts on to hold them in place.

Tom, are these connected to the sway bar? If they are, check to see if the rubber suspension pieces are still in the blocks. For sure you do need nuts on the J bolts. We had our sway bar bracket break, and I got the part and put it on myself. Good luck!Mike06 Inspire 51784

Tom,
could you post your location so one of the forum members can recommend a heavy duty front end shop. Either your nuts and bolts came loose or you have broken some front part.
IMHO you should really consider a shop to look at your problem. It's not worth the risk of more damage or repair then what of might already occurred.
