I have one switch that is cracked and will not permit the panel nut to tighten (that is the Jake brake, high - medium - low switch. I also have about a dozen broken plastic (or nylon) knurled panel nuts. I have spent hours trying to find the black knurled nuts to no avail.

Can somebody help me find sources of these?

Thanks,
Les

Same problem here on a plastic, switch nut/face nut as the switch was fine and the broken cheap plastic nut was the only problem.
Buy a cheap toggle switch for only the face nut Try www.colehersee.com (http://www.colehersee.com) hit wire terminals
hit hardware

hit nuts/face nuts

I've used Mouser electronics for various switches, their prices and service have been good for me.

I found both black plastic nuts, and silver metal nuts at my local Ace hardware store.

Thanks for the info. Kevin Waite sent me an email within mins of my post. He was able to find both the switch and 25 nuts for me - $40 shipped - I couldn't resist. He really is an great asset for this group to use.

We had great success with Kevin too! We are getting the fan controller and also air leveling ride valves for future use knowing we'll need them someday. For any new folks reading our CC blog, you will be very happy with the information and help available.

The nuts # 384-17126-001 come from Carling. They are on the net.

Ace Hardware I never would of considered. Should probably stick my head in the door and look around.
