Hello All,

Has anyone stayed at Grandfather RV Campground in Boone, NC? How tight was it? We are 42'. Any site recommendations?

Thanks,
Marta

There is also a KOA in Boone you might want to consider. Nothing special - view is nice. We camped there in our 42' Intrigue and had no difficulty. Getting to the campground was another story. Road is narrow and mountainous.

We've stayed in the Grandfather RV campground many times for the Scot Highland Festivals. It is good for big rigs as far as getting in and out. Stay in one of the sites up on the hill/mountain. The sites down by the river/creek are too small. The views are fantastic. The KOA is nice - we have stayed there, too. However it is tighter manuvering and the sites seem tighter, too. In this campground the upper sites are better. As you move down the hill they get tighter with the trees and all. Hope that helps.
