On arrival at the state park yesterday I noticed a small coolant leak. Turned out to be a loose clamp om the hose at the bottom of the radiator. While climbing around under the cat I spent some time checking things out. Found three hoses that are rubbing on the frame and are wearing their way through. I bought some heavy hose at Home Depot and will put protective sleeves on them all as they are not too bad yet , but all three would have eventually caused a breakdown or even worse a fire. Two are hydraulic and one is fuel. Something everyone should have a look at.

Ken here, My 2cents, Thanks for sharing. Once a year I lift up the Bed and remove the engine cover, Use a good shop light and tighten all hose clamps! Look for chaffing, Fuel and oil leaks. Spray simple green on Engine and Trans and all other areas in the Engine house rinse with garden hose. Use a Yard Blower to dry and run engine till slightly warm use shop light for any leaks. If you have never done this you will be suprised how loose clamps are. Also the Charge air lines. Inspect exhaust Man. for soot leaks and the turbo piping. Our Yuma lot has gravel so simple green is OK. Funny in my other life I got paid to do this. Ken 99 Allure 30356

I found 17 spots where hoses were chafing and needed protection.
