Seeking hiwy advise for the 94 cutoff on I-8 to San Diego. It goes through Campo, Potero and Qutura. Google Earth shows a couple of bridges and viaducts that I am unsure of regarding height.

Lyle,

We live in South San Diego and travel Hwy 94 freqently thru Campo and farther. You will not have any problem.

You will have a problem if your rig exceeds 30'. We are at the Thousand Trails park on the 94 near Jamul. The 94 is not advised for rigs longer than 30' between Otay Lakes Road and Campo.

We also belong to Thousand Trails Park, which we did 94E two years ago. We drive a 40 Foot with a Toad. Yes it has lots of curves - just take it slow and easy.

We live in San Diego and wouldn't travel #94 for several reasons. It is desolate desert, very winding, and you would want to be on the alert for large Mexican trucks coming from Tecate. Stay on #8 - it is a direct freeway route to San Diego and it also passes the Acorn Casino if you are interested. Have a good and safe trip. Happy Thanksgiving.

Sorry. I was wrong about the 30' limit. Just drove to the sign. 40' and longer are prohibited on the 94E from Otay Lakes Rd towards Campo.
