We are planning a late December tour that will include San Diego and probably include attending the Holiday Bowl on December 30th.
We will appreciate recommendations/links for RV facilities in the San Diego area, preferably close to the Pacific.

Chula Vista has two excellent RV Parks. The Marina is right on the bay, adjacent are restaurants, walking areas, biking as you over look the boats at the Marina.
If you go to the Holiday Bowl game, I would suggest you drive your tow vehicle less than two miles and get on the rapid transit, it will take you to within a stones throw of the stadium. Driving to the stadium could be a nightmare.
The other location is the KOA. Although not exactly on the pacific, but you will find it is the best KOA in the country. The KOA location would also allow you to travel the rapid transit by driving less than 2 miles to the pick-up point.
If you feel like you want to drive , both locations are within 2 miles of the on ramp to Hwy 805 or Hwy 5, both would get you to the stadium in about twenty minutes on a normal traffic day, but no way for the Holiday Bowl on Dec.30th.
