Ok, another question, my 2006 Inspire 360 has the original TVs- the older HD's. I think I want to update with new TVs with higher resolution HDs, great sales now.. is is difficult to change them out ?

If you are going back with the same size TV and the original mounting method can be utilized, not so bad. But if you want to go back with a bigger TV, it can be much more challenging depending on your skills. You can also get a pro to do it.

Good luck.

Prescott

My 2006 Allure has the optional HD TV resolution 720, but the speakers are on the side which makes it, I believe, impossible to replace with the new style TV without cabinet work. It is also my understanding the HD broadcast is at 720 resolution so you would not give any higher effective resolution.
You would see improved quality if playing a HD DVD in 1080 resolution.

I changed my rear tv from the old tube type to a flat screen. It was very easy to do. I 1st removed the old tv and the wood frame that was mounted around the old tv. 2nd cut a piece of 3/4 " plywood to go into the opening but large enough to to be able to go against the backside of the cabinet frame. Then using wood screws, screw through the holes that held the removable wood frame in place into the 3/4 " plywood. Then install a flat screen mound to the plywood and. I also had to cut a hole in the plywood to pull the electic and cable wires through. The tv we used was a 32" Panasonic. It works great, and only took about an hour.

Prescott,

We still have the old CRT in the living area but changed out the unit in the bedroom. It was in a cabinet above the washer/dryer on a swing out platform mounted on a piano hinge. We removed the platform converted that area into a new storage cabinet by putting in walls on three sides (the back wall is removable to allow access to the electrical equipment mounted on the back wall). We carpeted the floor of the cabinet and had two new doors custom made to match the woodwork. Looks like factory original.
We mounted the new flat panel lcd on a new piece of angled, matching woodwork on the curbside wall, cut to fit between the upper cabinet over the dresser, and the new cabinet. There is a tunnel behind that piece to carry the wiring into the original cabinet, behind the new wall. When technology changes warrant a further upgrade, it will be easy to remove and replace this tv unit.
I had the work done by my favorite rv repair shop and have been very happy with this arrangement.
