I removed the 690p racor primary filter assembly on my c-13 cat and replaced it with a 490p which has a prime pump on it. Also installed shutoff valves on both ends. Now I am able to drain the water seperator whenever needed and not have to worry about the air as the pump reprimes the filter. Only hitch was what I thought was water sensor leads in the old one was actualy a bowl fuel heater. Till I put the other bowl back on I have neither and guess I never had a water sensor to start with. I don't think the bowl heater is needed as we do not plan to be any where cold. Do they even work anyway? Seems very small with one coil in te bowl.

Marc, somewhere in my owner's manual is states that the 'water sensor' lead was wired in on Cummins engines but not on the CAT C-13. Go figure.
If you are not familiar with the priming process email me and I'll fill you in.
