There is a lot of crazy numbers being thrown around here about Lifeline prices. On December 1, Lifeline took a price increase due to the cost of material. Here are my prices before and after the increase:

Prior to Dec 1
GPL 8DA 489.57
GPL 8DL 495.91

Current

GPL 8DA 534.47
GPL 8DL 540.37

There you have it, actual current prices. I've stayed out the coke vs pepsi debate, but just wanted folks to know the current pricing.

On December 15 I purchased two Lifeline GPL 8DLs at the Interstate Battery store in Lakeland Fl. Their price was $599 each plus tax. There was no shipping charge on the bill, but perhaps it was hidden in the price. The batteries were not in stock, but they had them in the store in less than 48 hours. I installed them myself (with the help of my wife - Thanks Sweetie!) and it was not particularly painful.

Myron,

I must not be doing a good job of getting the word out, I could have saved you about 100.00 per battery, no tax. Lifeline's DC is in Orlando, so there would not have been any shipping expense from me either if you picked them up.

Hope they work out well for you..

Bummer!

I called Lifeline at their office in California, and they recommended 1) the Interstate store and 2) an RV dealer that was a bit farther away from me. There was no mention of a distribution center in Orlando on their list of distributors on their web site.

Myron,

You still would have had to go through a Distributor, you can't buy from the DC, but with a customer pick-up the shipping is eliminated. Hope I'm still around for you next order:)
