Just got an e-mail where Atwood had purchased Fan-tastic Vent Fan Company. Fan-tastic Vent had the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with on anything, period. They set the standard for customer service. Hopefully, that will continue, but I wouldn't bet on it. Anyone having Fan-tastic Fan problems may want to get it resolved quickly. FYI.

Both vent fans have worked flawlessly since the beginning so it must be a quality product to go along with the good customer service you've enjoyed.

My experience with the fan-tactic company indicates deterioration in recent years. The help people are not the quality of the fast. BOB 06 intrigue 12047

The founder of the company passed away a couple of years ago. I did not see a deterioration in service. As recently as last year I went to their SE US distributor's display at the Brooksville, FL regional FMCA meet and complained one of my dirve motor/transmission units was broken. They handed me a brand new unit on the spot and didn't even want the old one in exchange. That's a bit less than a year ago so support was per historic levels at that time.
I've also had good experience with Atwood factory support - Atwood built the entry door to our coach.
In these times all we can do is hope companies will be honest and fair. Fantastic-Vent was at the top of the list, Hopefully Atwood will at least try to continue the business model if for no other reason than is works quite well.
I am more sorry for the small business operators who currently sell and service these units. Atwood will certainly drop them and my experiences with Atwood dealers/dsitributors is horrible.
I guess that is as good an indicator as any as to what we can expect down the road.

I still find their service excellent. I just received parts from them for repair of one of my fans.
While I was on the phone with them I told them my brother's vent cover was still sticking and asked for the packets of material to clean and lubricate the surfaces of the cover and gasket. Not only did I get the material requested, I received a new gasket and the adhesive to stick it down with.

Count me as on the "excellent service" side of the ledger.
