My remote on/off switch for my Heart Freedom 20 inverter is not working. I can manually turn on the inverter from the front of the unit, but the remote switch doesn't work. I recently changed my batteries and this switch has not worked since. I check connections and they seem good. Any suggestions?

You might want to try a reset on all switches on the inverter and also turn the on/off switch, mounted on the inverter OFF, disconnect the phone cable at the inverter and plug it in again. Do the same at the remote. Does yours have a smart remote with status lights? Or just the on/off switch? Here is a link to the manual:

I have recently discovered that exact same problem with mine. I have the Freedom 20 with only the remote on/off switch on the control panel over the entry steps. I do not have the smart remote control panel.
Good advice on plugging and un-plugging the telephone connectors because they are prone to oxidation at the contact points. I'll try that when the sun comes up today. Thanks.
Any more good recommendations out there?

You might try turning off the inverter. Then disconnect the house battery negative cable for 30 seconds and reconnect the cable. Then turn the inverter switch to on. Sort of a "reset" process that is recommended on my Link 2000.

So I finally got around to doing this and Dean's advice worked. However, now the remote switch inside the coach works, but the inverter shuts off about every 5 minutes for a few seconds then comes back on - even without a load. I thought that maybe it could be overheating, however if i turn it on from the front of the Inverter itself, it will stay on all the time. Now what do you think?
Thanks

Perhaps checking for tight fittings on both ends of the wire from front control to back area? You also might have some ground wires that need cleaning?
Best of luck, and please let us know what you find out!! Smitty
