Now that the lift pump has been replaced, it is running great. A short history: 3 years ago while leaving our daughters home, we got about a block, the engine stumbled and died. Looked in mirrow and saw a huge cloud of white smoke. Found a large puddle of fuel under the engine, Every time the key was turned on, a stream of fuel came pouring out of the pump. Tightened the 3 bolts that hold the unit together and it has been running great until this past week. Do not know if the pump its self has been damaged, but do know that it was leaking fuel again. With 153,000 miles I thought it better to just replace the pump rather than repair it. Peace of mine.
