We have a 2000 Intrigue with a Princess stovetop, and my wife HATES it. When we have not used it for a few weeks, it takes forever to light. The burners do not have enough room when you are trying to use two pans at once, and overhanging the pans over the knobs causies them to melt. Has anyone replaced it, and if so, with what?

I posted this before, but now can't see it so posting again. We have a Princess stovetop in our 2000 Intrigue, and the DW HATES it. It takes forever to light if it has not been used in a few weeks, and the cooking surface does not really allow two pans on it at the same time. We put two pans on it and the pans overhang the knobs and melted them. Is there anything we can do to replace this stovetop?
