If any of you have had continual problems with your step cover, let me know. I have figured out how to rewire the thing so it will work! The problem rests within the manufacturer's wiring of stops at either end of the rod. I have omitted them and it works great, finally!

Larry

You are talking about the step well cover. Ours has intermittent failures. I found that jerking it will make it start working again.

Thanks
Gene

It has been several years since you posted the above message, but if you still have fix for the step cover, let me know. Mine has completely stopped working.
